The Texas Chainsaw Massacre star Jessica Biel has landed the female lead in Stealth, the Rob Cohen-directed action film for Columbia. The film's being produced by Laura Ziskin and Mike Medavoy, and a big-scale ensemble cast is taxing up the runway.
Biel and co-star Josh Lucas play elite pilots drafted to stop an artificial-intelligence one that has been programmed to kill and has run amuck.
Cohen has been working on a rewrite of the WD Richter script, and a January 19 shoot is set for Australia, Thailand, New Zealand and China. A Memorial Day 2005 bow is being eyed.
The 7th Heaven star will next play a female vampire hunter in the David Goyer-directed Blade: Trinity, opposite Wesley Snipes. New Line is eyeing a possible spinoff franchise for the comic book films.
